Holding Grace
“In everything that is, there is something that was”.
RJ Heller
RJ Heller lives life forward while keeping the past close. He captures moments experienced by us all and presents them in a unique and tender way. For him, life is and has always been about moving forward while remembering the past.
In 2012 his first book, Holding Grace was published by Hay House/Balboa Press. Since 2015 he has been a journalist for The Quoddy Tides, a newspaper out of Eastport, Maine and contributes regularly to other newspapers in the area. His column Life Downeast tells about his transition from Pennsylvania where he was born and raised to the unique place in Maine called Downeast. Rick and his wife currently reside in the small coastal town of Starboard.
As a freelance writer, journalist, essayist and photographer, life is both seen and captured by Rick in unique and thought provoking ways. He is currently at work preparing for publication a collection of essays about living life Downeast as well as a novel about the Highland Scots who sailed to Pictou, Nova Scotia, in 1773 aboard the ship Hector.
